The MIS & Power BI Manager will lead the data management, analytics, and business intelligence function for U.S. mortgage operations.
This role is responsible for designing and delivering dashboards, operational reports, and performance insights that support senior leadership, process managers, and client reporting teams. The position requires deep understanding of mortgage processes, data visualization, and automation using Power BI and related tools.

Experience

• 812 years overall, with at least 4+ years in Mortgage Operations MIS / BI / Analytics.
• Domain Expertise:Understanding of U.S. Mortgage lifecycle Disclosures, Processing, Underwriting, Funding, Post-Closing.
• Technical Tools: Power BI (Advanced), DAX, Power Query, Power Automate, Excel VBA, SQL / MS Access, SharePoint, Encompass reports.
• Other Skills: Process metrics design, KPI dashboards, business storytelling, problem-solving, data modeling.
• Preferred Exposure-Mortgage systems like Encompass, Blend, BytePro, LoanSphere, or Ellie Mae RDB.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end management of MIS reports for all mortgage functions Origination, Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Funding, and Post-Closing.
• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards to track key metrics such as:
• Loan pipeline status and volume
• TAT (Turnaround Time) and SLA adherence
• Productivity by team and department
• Appraisal and title performance
• QC exceptions and rework rates
• Automate recurring reports using Power Query, Power Automate, and Power BI Service.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of data published to stakeholders.

2. Power BI Development & Visualization

• Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards that provide actionable insights for:
• Operations leadership
• Client management teams
• Process improvement and forecasting
• Create visual analytics around loan cycle efficiency, defect trends, and aging reports.
• Integrate data from Encompass, LOS reports, SharePoint, Excel, and other internal systems.
• Implement data modeling best practices, DAX calculations, and performance optimization.

3. Analytics & Business Insights

• Analyze operational trends to identify process gaps and recommend performance improvements.
• Develop predictive or trend-based analytics (e.g., loan aging prediction, SLA breach forecasting).
• Support business reviews, client QBRs, and executive updates with data-driven insights.
• Prepare storytelling with data visuals for leadership decks and board reports.

4. Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate closely with:
• Operations managers across departments
• Client analytics and reporting teams (U.S. counterpart)
• IT / Data engineering teams for system integrations
• Understand client SLAs, KPI requirements, and ensure report alignment.
• Communicate metrics and performance insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

5. Governance, Quality & Automation

• Establish a centralized Data Governance and Standardization framework.
• Maintain documentation for all reports, data sources, and refresh schedules.
• Drive automation initiatives using Power BI, Power Automate, and SQL to reduce manual reporting.
• Ensure data security and compliance with U.S. mortgage data handling guidelines.

Requirement:

• Education Graduate in Commerce / Finance / Data Analytics / Engineering. Advanced Excel or BI certification preferred.
