Healthcare Medical Coding Database Analyst

As an experienced candidate for the role at HCL Technologies in Chennai, you will be responsible for clinically oriented tasks in the night shift. Your role will involve working with major LIS and EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle, Meditech, SCCSoft lab, Sunquest, Orchard, and NextGen. Your main responsibilities will include: - Having experience in medical technology background or EMR compendium management/build experience. - Translating clinical test codes and understanding medical terminology. - Importing/exporting data via Excel and mapping into SQL tables. - Demonstrating exceptional Microsoft Excel skills. - Communicating effectively within your peer group. - Multitasking and meeting stringent customer deadlines. - Providing project status updates to leadership. - Quickly learning systems for compendium mapping/build file purposes. - Working US hours to facilitate team collaboration. Your tasks will include: - Creating test directories for RBU's/EBU's. - Triage and preparation of demand requests for team members. - Monitoring and providing status updates to managers on ongoing and pending projects. - Mapping customers to codes. - Producing ongoing compendium maintenance files for strategic customers or vendors. Training for this role will be comprehensive and will involve a combination of minimal documentation and extensive mentoring. You will require access to QLS and EBU's (Modified access to limit to non-PHI functions), Qted, eForm, and Clarity.
