Health, Safety & Environment officer

Role Overview: You will be the Health, Safety & Environment Officer based in Kharagpur, West Bengal, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the Waste Management Industry. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental policies at the company's operations in Kharagpur. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance standards within the waste management sector. Key Responsibilities: - Implementing and monitoring all HSO policies, procedures, and practices - Conducting risk assessments and maintaining safety incident records - Ensuring compliance with waste handling protocols - Delivering HSO training to ground staff - Conducting site audits and safety inspections - Liaising with local authorities on safety and environmental matters - Investigating accidents or near-misses Qualification Required: - Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Health, Safety & Environment within the Waste Management industry - Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or a related field - Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations such as the Factories Act and Hazardous Waste Rules - Strong communication and documentation skills - Ability to work on-ground and manage a team for safety compliance Additional details of the company: Immediate joining is required for this full-time position.
