Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable HSO to oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental policies at our operations in Kharagpur. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the waste management sector and a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor all HSO policies, procedures, and practices across the site.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain records related to safety incidents, inspections, and compliance.
• Ensure workers and supervisors follow proper waste handling and disposal protocols.
• Deliver HSO training and toolbox talks to ground staff.
• Conduct site audits, safety inspections, and safety drills regularly.
• Liaison with local authorities regarding safety and environmental concerns.
• Investigate any accidents or near-misses and report findings.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Health, Safety & Environment role in the Waste Management industry.
• Degree/Diploma in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or related field.
• Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations (e.g., Factories Act, Hazardous Waste Rules, etc.).
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work on-ground and manage a team for safety compliance.
