Health, Safety & Environment officer

The Health, Safety & Environment Officer position based in Kharagpur, West Bengal requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in the Waste Management Industry. As an HSO, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies at our operations in Kharagpur. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance standards within the waste management sector. Your key responsibilities will include implementing and monitoring all HSO policies, procedures, and practices, conducting risk assessments, maintaining safety incident records, ensuring compliance with waste handling protocols, delivering HSO training to ground staff, conducting site audits and safety inspections, liaising with local authorities on safety and environmental matters, and investigating accidents or near-misses. To qualify for this role, you should have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Health, Safety & Environment within the Waste Management industry, along with a degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or a related field. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations such as the Factories Act and Hazardous Waste Rules is essential. Strong communication and documentation skills, as well as the ability to work on-ground and manage a team for safety compliance, are also key requirements. This is a full-time position with immediate joining required.
