Health Safety Environment Officer

You will be working on a greenfield project in GIDC Vapi, covering an area of 10,556 sq m dedicated to manufacturing Pharma Intermediates and APIs. The project includes facilities such as the main intermediate production building, GMP facility, and Catalytic Hydrogenation set-up, emphasizing green chemistry and competitive innovation. **Roles and Responsibilities:** - Work on safety permits necessary for the execution of Greenfield projects. - Assist the Project Head in enforcing site health and safety regulations. - Monitor safety protocols, procedures, and ensure compliance. - Collaborate with the site administration team to establish a filing system for compiling site health and safety records. - Provide health and safety supervision for all construction work by contractors from the beginning until practical completion. - Ensure that all activities are carried out in alignment with approved method statements and risk assessments. - Review contractor method statements and risk assessments, and report the status to the Project Head. - Develop a site health and safety induction in dual language for the project. - Work with contractors to ensure that the health and safety induction meets the required standards. - Maintain a clean and safe site condition at all times. - Attend regular meetings with contractors to ensure effective communication of health and safety aspects to the workforce. - Review the contractor's health and safety plan and update the Project Head on its status. **Qualifications:** - Degree in any branch of engineering, technology, or Environmental science. - Advanced diploma in Industrial Safety. - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
