This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in vessel assessment, structural analysis, and dismantling planning—especially within the unique environment of the Alang Ship Breaking Yard. Key Responsibilities: Perform detailed structural analysis and assessments of ships scheduled for recycling Prepare safe and efficient cutting plans in compliance with environmental and safety norms Support compliance with international regulations like the Hong Kong Convention Collaborate with operations, HSE, and compliance teams for execution planning Maintain accurate drawings, calculations, and documentation related to each vessel Optimize recycling strategies to maximize material recovery while ensuring safety Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in ship design, dismantling, or recycling Preference will be given to candidates who have worked at Alang Ship Breaking Yard Strong understanding of ship structures, hydrostatics, and stability Excellent technical communication and documentation skills Preferred Certifications: AutoCAD / Rhino / ShipConstructor (or similar software proficiency) Knowledge of IMO, IACS, and HKC regulations
