Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Ensures continues supply of materials, equipments & other services (medical & non medical) to the hospital.
Does material forecasting and planning.
Procures supplies, services of medicines and equipment's on time and also by establishing minimum and maximum inventory levels and reorder quantities level.
Conferring with vendors, selecting products and equipment's by testing, observing or examining items and estimating values of market price.
Maintains procurement and receiving operations by developing policies and procedures.
Encourages the staff of the department for superior performance on the job, raise moral & increase productivity.
Takes part in the annual performance appraisal exercise of self & department staff.
Focus on strategic control on the prices of procured goods
Practices efficient vendor management
Takes initiatives towards aggressive price negotiations with the vendors & identify the most suited vendor with a proper price-quality balance
Updates constantly the product knowledge with regards to the latest trends in the industry.
Any other duties assigned by the reporting manager.
Must have knowledge about OPD/IPD Pharmacy.
