Description
As the Head of Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end warehousing and logistics operations across multiple locations, including the Finished Goods warehouse. Your role will involve driving operational efficiency, cost optimization, vendor & team management, and process standardization. You must be a strategic leader with a strong understanding of 3PL, warehouse management, and distribution networks, along with a willingness to travel frequently to Tier-2 cities to oversee operations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee the operations of multiple warehouses, ensuring efficient inbound, storage, and outbound processes. - Implement inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage, optimize space utilization, and improve stock accuracy. - Ensure timely dispatch and fulfillment of orders as per client SLAs. - Design and implement SOPs for warehousing processes, including FIFO, LIFO, batch tracking, and shelf-life monitoring. - Drive automation & WMS optimization to enhance productivity and tracking efficiency. - Oversee transportation planning and network optimization for inter-city and intra-city deliveries. - Manage logistics service providers to ensure cost-effective and timely movement of goods. - Develop and implement last-mile delivery strategies to improve customer experience. - Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety norms, and documentation requirements. - Lead a team of Operations Managers, Warehouse Managers, Logistics Coordinators, and on-ground staff across multiple locations. - Develop training programs to enhance operational efficiency and team performance. - Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of supply chain functions. - Collaborate with sales, procurement, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals. - Identify cost-saving opportunities in warehouse operations and logistics while maintaining service levels. - Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other best practices to improve operational efficiency. - Monitor KPIs like OTIF (On Time In Full), inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rate, and logistics cost per unit to drive continuous improvements. - Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory requirements for warehousing, transportation, and inventory handling. - Develop risk mitigation strategies for disruptions in supply chain operations. - Implement and monitor health & safety protocols across all warehouses. **Qualification, Experience & Skills:** - Education: MBA/Post-Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management (preferred). - Experience: 5+ years in Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Logistics, with leadership experience in warehouse operations. - Industry Preference: Experience in FMCG, E-commerce, or 3PL supply chain preferred.
