1. To supervise, control & coordinate functions of above mentioned departments.
2. Ensure implementation of various departmental strategies, policies & procedures.
3. Determines budget in coordination with DGM CBU for the unit, control and monitor the departmental budgets.
4. Determine manpower, material & infrastructure requirement for departments & ensure their availability for smooth functioning of the department
5. Ensure complete and proper documentation is carried out for stores, pharmacy & purchase, as per the SOPs.
6. Design inventory models for material management, ensure its implementation and compliance.
7. Responsible for working capital management in the area of inventory and vendor payments.
8. Effective proactive liaison with other departments as necessary to forecast & plan purchase requirements
9. Responsible for procurement of all type of materials (clinical / non clinical) in adequate quantity and of desired quality from empanelled vendors.
10. Ensure order is placed or PO is released, well in time considering reorder level & lot size of various regular & fast moving items.
11. Ensures past due PO’s are reviewed on a timely basis and expedited as required.
12. Confer with suppliers/vendor concerning late deliveries, quality concerns.
13. Gathers feedback from user departments for the new items to ensure customer satisfaction.
14. Maintain high levels of vendor satisfaction through: driving timely release of orders, debottlenecking of vendor performance issues, structured monitoring of invoices and ensuring timely payments.
15. Ensure adequate inventory of all items (medical/ non medical) at all the time is being maintained for smooth functioning of the departments.
16. Ensures updation of items master.
17. To organise periodic and random inventory checks for inventory conditions and stock levels
18. Weekly monitoring of consumption of all the store holding departments in the hospital and ensure that consumption has been updated by respective departments.
19. Ensure timely processing of indents and issue of material.
20. Ensure all audit objections and observations related to the departments are looked into.
21. Develop & ensure compliance with Hospital Drug Formulary.
22. Ensure proper tracking of patient specific medications.
23. Develop and ensures maintenance of pharmacy services as per statutory rules and regulations and hospital policies.
24. Responsible for liasoning with government official regarding pharmacy related legal compliances.
25. Work in close coordination with HR Department for:
a. Training & Development of employees
b. Control /Reduction in attrition
