Description
As the Head of Quality Assurance at Commcise in Bangalore, your primary responsibility is to manage testing activities to ensure the best user product experience. Your role involves: - **Domain Expertise**: - You should have a strong understanding of capital markets, trading platforms, wealth management, and regulatory frameworks like MiFID, SEC, SEBI, and FCA. - Experience with various financial instruments such as equities, derivatives, fixed income, FX, commodities, and post-trade processes like clearing, settlement, and risk management is essential. - **Testing Strategy & Execution**: - Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies covering functional testing (UAT, regression, integration, end-to-end) and non-functional testing (performance, security, resiliency, compliance). - Develop test governance models, risk-based testing approaches, and enforce QA best practices. - Drive automation-first and shift-left testing strategies across teams. - **Technology & Automation**: - You should have a strong grasp of programming concepts, coding standards, and test frameworks such as Java, Python, and JavaScript. - Expertise in test automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, and low-code automation tools such as Tosca and Katalon Studio is required. - Experience in API testing (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and knowledge of connectivity protocols (TCP/IP, FIX, WebSockets) is beneficial. - **AI and the Future of Automation**: - Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications in test automation. - Ability to drive AI-driven automation initiatives across business and process automation domains. - Knowledge of self-healing test automation, predictive analytics for defect detection, and intelligent test data management. - **DevOps & CI/CD Integration**: - Experience in continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps. - Knowledge of infrastructure as code and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is valuable. - Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog for real-time monitoring of test environments. - **Performance, Security & Resilience Testing**: - Expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, k6. - Deep knowledge of security testing methodologies (OWASP, DAST, SAST) and regulatory compliance testing. - Experience with resilience testing and chaos engineering for high availability systems. - **Leadership & Team Development**: - Strong people management, mentoring, and team-building skills are crucial. - Ability to train and upskill teams in modern testing methodologies and tools. - Proven track record of stakeholder management across business, product, and technology teams. - **Agile & Strategic Thinking**: - Agile mindset to suggest context-driven solutions and lead Agile testing transformations. - Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with a willingness to be hands-on when required. Qualifications Required: - Engineering or IT Degree - **Mandatory**: - Strong expertise on software testing concepts and methodologies. - Strong communication skills. - Strong technical aptitude preferably in automation. - **Good to Have**: - Good knowledge of SQL scripting. - Good understanding of Capital Markets, Asset Management Operations, or Investment Banking. - ISTQB Certification. In this role, you will be working in UK Shift Timings with 13-15 years of relevant experience.
