1.Role & responsibilities

Key Competencies (Technical, Functional & Behavioural)

Technical & Functional:

• Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt Certification and Lean management Certification. Able to drive Lean Six Sigma/5S concepts at multiple levels independently
• Experience in Value Stream Mapping and other Lean Six Sigma tools
• May be worked in a consulting organization
• Knowledge of driving the process simplification efforts
• Strong data analytics and developing the insights effectively
• Understanding about the costing and budgeting process
• Knowledge about API / CDMO industry

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop Operational Excellence maturity model and assessment to gauge the organization maturity for the R&D and Discovery chemistry processes

2. Drive the implementation of the identified actions through governance frameworks

3. Design and drive Operational excellence reward and recognition program in line with the Operational Excellence program maturity

4. Implementing Lean Six Sigma processes to significantly improve:

a. Productivity of the people

b. Quality of the current manufacturing processes at the site

c. Cost of goods

d. Delivery performance of sites

e. Personnel safety at the site

f. Compliance to business processes

5. Facilitate all operational excellence focused improvement projects (Development, Tech Transfer, Process improvement, cost leadership etc.) so that the same are completed in time and benefits are achieved by the organization

6. Closely interact with the line managers, HODs and functional head to identify the focus areas and escalate the roadblocks.

7. Map the processes and identify the areas for improvement with the objective for process simplification

8. Conduct the workshops with the cross functional teams to design the solutions and train the teams on the new methods/processes.

9. Develop and implement bottom-up approach i.e. Daily management program across the organization to create sustenance and involving shop floor / Grass root people in the operational excellence journey

10. Drive kaizen, OPL (One-point lessons) & other daily management techniques and ensure maturity achievement year on year.

11. Act as a change agent for driving positive culture change and improving organizational efficiencies using existing processes.

12. Work with cross functional team for coordination and support in execution of SaiGO initiatives.

13. Lead, coach, and develop OE teams within the department and coach, train and mentor change agents within the business to develop and achieve operational excellence goals and objectives

14. Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with procedures and metrics that impact quality, safety, process and productivity improvements throughout the company.

15. Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with internal and external customers to accomplish business objectives and achieve outstanding customer service.

16. Establish, measure, and monitor key process metrics tied to overall

Organizational operational improvement goals.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering. MBA from a reputed university

2. Person having minimum experience of 12-14 years of Lean Six Sigma & Operational Excellence drive in related industries.
