Role & responsibilities: Drive business growth, client retention, and revenue enhancement within the wealth management function. Deliver tailored, high-impact financial solutions aligned with client goals. Build and nurture long-term client relationships based on trust and performance. Ensure operational excellence across all touchpoints of the client lifecycle. Align business strategy with evolving market trends, regulatory shifts, and internal objectives. Cultivate a strong internal team and a reliable network of external partners. Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the strategic direction of the wealth management business. Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and client feedback to propose proactive initiatives. Lead business planning and contribute to strategic decision-making at the executive level. Should have managed a book size of 1000 to 2000 cr Set up , drive and grow the Wealth business Client Engagement & Commercial Execution: Serve as a trusted advisor and executive ambassador of the firm. Partner with RMs in client acquisition and relationship deepening efforts. Design and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction, retention, and referral. Recommend financial solutions across investments, insurance, estate, and tax planning. Drive advisory product penetration and cross-selling initiatives. Team Leadership & Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and manage high-performing wealth managers and support staff. Conduct regular performance reviews, succession planning, and training programs. Foster a collaborative and values-driven team culture. Operational Oversight: Ensure seamless onboarding, servicing, and reporting processes. Resolve system-level and service-related challenges with internal and external stakeholders. Oversee compliance, documentation, and governance across the division. Financial Planning & Investment Management: Conduct in-depth client assessments and build customized financial plans. Monitor and adjust portfolio strategies based on market and client changes. Conduct financial analysis and provide expert guidance on wealth preservation and growth. Coordinate with estate planners, tax advisors, and legal professionals to deliver holistic solutions. External Network Development: Expand partnerships with lawyers, trustees, custodians, and accountants. Leverage external relationships to enhance client value and generate business referrals. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. 15+ years of experience in wealth management, with proven P&L responsibility. Experience managing RM teams and/or a personal client book. Knowledge of global investment products, financial markets, and advisory workflows. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Expertise in portfolio management software, CRM tools, and financial analysis platforms. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Professional certifications such as CFP, CFA, or equivalent. Experience working with ultra-HNWIs and a track record of building long-term relationships. Understanding of Indian taxation and regulatory frameworks (if applicable). Fluency in English (French is a plus). Ability to drive change, inspire trust, and align teams with business objectives.
