Head of Operations - Oil and Gas Maintenance & Shutdowns

As the Head of Operations for Oil and Gas Maintenance & Shutdowns at Jamnagar, India, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of day-to-day operations at the Jamnagar base and Plant Services. This includes overseeing contracts, shutdowns, and specialized services. You will work closely with the CMC Manager to ensure operational, technical, and resource support. Additionally, engaging with customers on a daily basis to address business opportunities and concerns will be a key part of your role. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all operations are carried out safely, cost-effectively, and efficiently while complying with standards, procedures, and requirements. It will be your responsibility to deliver all India Plant Services KPIs and ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements. Administrative oversight of the Jamnagar base, including the Yard and Fabrication shop, will also fall under your purview. Investing in the development of personnel and equipment is crucial, as is proactively identifying and addressing performance issues and risks. You will lead a diverse, multi-skilled workforce, both contract and staff employees, to ensure the successful delivery of maintenance services in a safe, reliable, and sustainable manner. Driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through the implementation of SMART systems and processes to enhance performance will be a key aspect of your role. Reporting directly to the Deputy General Manager - Operations, you will be expected to have a Degree in Engineering or Business Management as a mandatory requirement. Post Graduate Qualifications in Business Management and developed People Management Skills are preferred. Additionally, having 15-20 years of comprehensive experience in refinery maintenance management in a contracting environment is essential. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with a commitment to Quality Management principles, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental Legislation, are also necessary for success in this role.,
