Head of New Product Development

As the Head of New Product Development at Vektra Engineering Pvt Ltd in Kolkata, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the development and implementation of two new proposed ventures. These ventures include Repairing and Testing of Hydraulic Axial Piston Pumps and Motors of various makes, as well as Manufacturing of Drivelines / Propeller Shafts and Components for Construction and Mining Equipments. Your role will involve conducting market research, managing a team of engineers, and driving sales initiatives related to the new ventures. The company has already constructed ample covered area for these activities, and the management is committed to investing in state-of-the-art equipment for manufacturing and testing of these products. To excel in this position, you should have experience in Repairing and Testing of Axial Piston Pumps, as well as Manufacturing Drivelines/Propeller shafts. Additionally, you should possess strong team management and sales skills. A robust technical background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential, along with experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead product development projects from conception to launch. Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial for effectively liaising with stakeholders and driving the success of the new ventures. A Bachelor's or Master's degree/diploma in Engineering or Business Administration will be advantageous in fulfilling the requirements of this role.,
