Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for the Head Of English Department located in Ponda. The Head of English Department will oversee the English curriculum, ensure high standards of teaching and learning, and lead a team of educators. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, providing professional development for staff, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring the implementation of school policies and standards.

• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Expertise in English curriculum development and teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to assess and improve student academic performance
• Proficiency in using educational technology and IT-enabled classrooms
• Experience in organizing and conducting professional development sessions for staff
• Relevant qualifications: Master's degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Experience in an international school setting is a plus
