Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Head of Department for Applied Science at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, located in Chandigarh, India. The Head of Department will be responsible for leading and managing the department, developing academic programs, overseeing faculty and staff, and ensuring the implementation of effective teaching strategies. Other responsibilities include fostering research initiatives, managing departmental budgets, liaising with industry partners for curriculum development, and ensuring the academic progress and well-being of students. The individual will also represent the department in various academic and administrative committees.

Qualifications

• Leadership and Management skills for departmental administration
• Experience in academic program development and curriculum planning
• Strong background in research and fostering research initiatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for faculty and student interactions
• Industry connections and network for curriculum development and student placements
• Doctoral degree in Applied Science or a related field
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in teaching and academic administration
• Proven track record of published research and academic contributions
