Job Description

Head of Accounts

strong exposure to Indian Accounting Standards (IND-AS)

Experience:

Department:

Role & responsibilities

Lead and manage all accounting functions including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Inventory Accounting across group companies.
Ensure compliance with
IND-AS
and have the capability to
map financials to IFRS/US GAAP
for group reporting or international investor requirements.
Manage timely closing of books and preparation of accurate and comprehensive financial statementsboth standalone and consolidated.
Liaise with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits; ensure clean audit reports and implement corrective actions.
Ensure full statutory compliance including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and regulatory reporting.
Drive implementation of internal financial controls and accounting automation (preferably in SAP environment).
Lead initiatives to align accounting practices with international standards where applicable.
Manage working capital by monitoring receivables, payables, and inventory controls.

Candidate Profile:

Qualification:
Chartered Accountant (CA); additional certifications/diplomas in IFRS or US GAAP preferred

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of IND-AS and working knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP
Proficient in SAP FICO or similar ERP systems
Strong understanding of tax laws, cost accounting, and financial controls

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and people management skills
Analytical and process-driven mindset
High integrity and accountability

Preferred Exposure:

Group consolidation
Joint ventures, foreign subsidiaries, or overseas reporting
Pre-IPO or due diligence support (desirable)
