You will be part of a winning team passionate about assisting life science experts worldwide in finding trustworthy answers. As the Head Market Development (M2) team, you will guide efforts to identify high-impact growth opportunities, define customer personas and workflow requirements, and spearhead strategic initiatives across the Pharma, Biopharma, Food, and Academia markets. Your role will involve conducting in-depth market and competitive analysis, collaborating on new product development proposals, and driving the technical marketing strategy. You will lead cross-functional projects, influence key business decisions, and contribute to initiatives with global visibility, fostering meaningful career growth and innovation. Reporting to the General Manager, SCIEX India, as part of the Sales - Account/Direct Sales team in Bangalore, this on-site role presents you with the opportunity to: - Lead market analysis initiatives to identify strategic growth opportunities in target markets by assessing market size, customer needs, and trends. - Define customer personas and workflow requirements to guide new product development and enhance existing solutions. - Analyze competitive landscapes to support go-to-market strategies and differentiate SCIEX in the target market. - Partner with cross-functional teams to develop strategic product proposals and technical marketing plans. - Engage with customers, thought leaders, and internal stakeholders to gather VOC, conduct market-specific training, and support high-impact accounts. The essential requirements of the job include: - Postgraduate degree; preferred Doctorate in Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Pharma. - Minimum 15-20 years of experience in life sciences marketing, sales, or technical roles. - Expertise in Pharma, Biopharma, Food, and Academia markets, including customer workflows and ecosystem knowledge. - Understanding of LCMS, HRMS, and CE technology and applications relevant to these markets. - Ability to conduct market research and VOC to support strategic planning and product development. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: - Ability to travel up to 50% for customer meetings, conferences, and industry events. - Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. - No significant physical requirements; this role is primarily office-based with travel as noted above. Previous experience in a global, matrix-managed organization with cross-functional collaboration, applying analytical and market research skills for strategic marketing and business development, and possessing technical knowledge of mass spectrometry workflows in Food and Environmental applications would be a plus.
