Job Description

Job Summary:

The Hospital Housekeeping Head is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations within the hospital. This includes ensuring that all areas are clean, sanitized, and comply with health and safety standards. The role involves managing housekeeping staff, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Staff Management:

Supervise and manage housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Conduct regular meetings to communicate policies, procedures, and updates.
Foster a positive work environment and address any staff concerns promptly.

Operational Oversight:

Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure all areas of the hospital are maintained to high standards.
Monitor the cleanliness of patient rooms, operating rooms, public areas, and offices.
Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections.

Inventory & Budget Management:

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order supplies as needed.
Manage the housekeeping department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct regular inspections to assess cleanliness and adherence to standards.
Implement corrective actions as necessary to address deficiencies.

Collaboration:

Coordinate with other departments, such as nursing and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
Respond to and resolve complaints or concerns related to housekeeping services.
