Description
As a Warehousing Strategy Manager, your role involves developing and implementing strategies to optimize warehouse operations and ensure efficient storage and distribution of tyres globally. You will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Develop and implement global warehousing strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards. - Lead and train the warehousing team to enhance their capabilities. - Provide leadership for the operation of warehouses, distribution centers, and tyre storage facilities worldwide. - Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements in all warehouses. - Implement and manage warehouse management systems (WMS) and related technologies. - Establish warehouse performance metrics such as capacity utilization, Turn-around times, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment rates. - Collaborate with logistics, transportation, and supply chain teams to facilitate seamless operations. - Develop and oversee budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics for global warehousing operations. - Identify and implement best practices, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives. - Manage effective inventory management practices including storage, handling, and rotation of tyres. Your performance will be evaluated based on the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Warehouse Governance Metrics: Order Fulfillment Rates, Inventory Accuracy, WMS Effectiveness - Cost Management - Digitalization of warehouse processes - People Development to enhance capabilities in diverse geographies - Process Standardization across warehouses globally Skills & Knowledge Requirements: - Possess a certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g. APICS, CIPS) - Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and related technologies - Familiar with warehousing practices in India - Hold a Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration - Have a minimum of 15-20 years of experience in warehousing and logistics management, preferably in the tyre industry - Demonstrated success in leading global warehousing operations and teams in Europe/US - Capable of leading large teams virtually - Knowledgeable about Global 3PL companies - Proficient in WMS tools - Possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Thorough understanding of global logistics regulations, laws, and industry standards In addition, you are recommended to focus on identifying good 3PL partners and initiating improvement projects to enhance warehousing operations.,
