Over the past 15 years, Medanta has created an unrivalled impact in delivering world class multi-specialty care for patients in India. We have hospitals in Gurgaon, Lucknow, Patna, Indore and Ranchi. In addition, we have clinics in Defence Colony (South Delhi), Cybercity & Subhash Chowk (Gurgaon), and at the Delhi Airport. Medanta is constantly growing and has also ventured in Retail vertical through Diagnostics (Laboratory Services) and Pharmacies. We also have also launched homecare services. We further plan to scale up existing facilities and expand into a few more geographical areas and also identify new avenues (Academics - Medical College) within the Healthcare eco-system. Role Overview

The Head Compensation & Benefits will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive compensation strategies, policies, and programs that align with business objectives and drive organizational performance. The role will partner closely with senior leadership, HR, and finance teams to ensure cost optimization, compliance, and fairness across all employee levels.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Compensation Strategy & Design:

  • Develop and implement

    salary structures, pay ranges, and benchmarking frameworks

    aligned with market practices and internal equity.
  • Design and manage

    short-term and long-term incentive programs

    , including variable pay and performance-linked bonuses.

B. Equity & Rewards Management:

  • Administer and oversee

    Employee Stock Option Plans (ESOPs)

    , ensuring compliance and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present materials for

    NRC (Nomination and Remuneration Committee)

    and

    Board reviews

    on compensation matters.

C. Budgeting & Performance Management:

  • Lead the creation and management of

    manpower budgets (cost and headcount)

    across functions.
  • Drive the

    annual performance management

    ,

    appraisal

    , and

    increment cycles

    , ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.

D. Payroll, Compliance & HR Operations:

  • Oversee payroll processes, ensuring

    accuracy, tax compliance, and statutory adherence.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of

    taxation, labor laws, and compliance requirements

    related to C&B.
  • Partner with HR Operations for

    smooth execution and audits

    of payroll and benefits.

E. Technology & Analytics:

  • Lead implementation and enhancement of

    HRIS/HRMS platforms

    to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Utilize

    advanced Excel and analytical tools

    for reporting, insights, and predictive modeling.

F. Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead a high-performing C&B team with clear focus on collaboration, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Engage effectively with

    CXO-level stakeholders

    to influence reward strategies and decisions.
  • Ensure effective communication of compensation policies and practices across the organization.

    and related HR domains.
  • Industry Preference:

    Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, or Diagnostics.

  • Experience in a

    large Indian listed company

    is highly desirable.
