Head - Capital Program (India)

As a Construction Program Head at Agratas, a subsidiary of Tata Sons, you will play a crucial role in leading the construction program management of a cutting-edge gigafactory focused on producing electric vehicle (EV) cells. Your responsibilities will include: - **Program Leadership & Strategy**: - Develop and lead the construction program schedule in alignment with product launch timelines and organizational goals. - Ensure on-time delivery of the gigafactory by monitoring progress, addressing challenges, and driving accountability. - **Cross-Functional Team Management**: - Lead and motivate a diverse team of construction managers, engineers, procurement specialists, contractors, and vendors to execute the construction program effectively. - **Construction Oversight**: - Oversee all construction phases, including civil work, MEP installations, procurement processes, and commissioning of utilities. - Ensure seamless integration and coordination across all workstreams from a schedule and program management perspective. - **Risk & Issue Management**: - Proactively identify risks, mitigate challenges, and develop contingency plans. - Lead resolution of any obstacles that could impact project timeline, cost, or quality. - **Stakeholder & Vendor Management**: - Engage with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment on project objectives, expectations, and timelines. - **Budget & Cost Control and EVM (Earned Value Management)**: - Work closely with the construction cost management team to ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle. - Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining safety and quality standards. - **Assertive Communication & Reporting**: - Communicate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders, providing regular updates on program progress, key issues, and risk mitigation strategies. - Ensure transparent and proactive communication across all project team levels. Your qualifications should include: - 20+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. - Proven track record in leading complex construction projects. - Experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders. - Strong leadership, team management, project planning, and risk management skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. - In-depth knowledge of construction safety protocols and quality assurance practices.
