HCC Experienced Medical Coders

You should have a minimum of 2-6 years of experience in medical coding, with at least 1 year of mandatory experience in HCC Mapped Diagnosis Coding. Your responsibilities will include HCC record abstraction and coding, ensuring high quality in clinical coding work by identifying and validating revenue generating HCC mapped diagnoses. You must adhere to official coding guidelines, coding clinic determinations, client-specific coding guidelines, CMS, and other regulatory compliance guidelines. Your role will involve validating correct coding procedures and guidelines, maintaining an accuracy rate of 95% or above, and demonstrating consistent productivity. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with coaching and interpersonal skills. A solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is required, as well as excellent organization, time management, and customer service abilities. You should be able to read and interpret medical record documentation for diagnosis extraction, possess analytical and problem-solving skills, and comply with all HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements. Identifying trends in coding and documentation errors will be part of your responsibilities. While a clinical background is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.,
