Design, install, and maintain computer hardware systems.
Configure and optimize network systems for performance and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and network issues promptly.
Perform regular hardware and network audits and upgrades.
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures related to hardware and networks.
Provide technical support and training to end-users.
Monitoring the Network usage
Protecting data by maintaining firewalls, implementing data security systems and performing data backups when necessary
Ensuring and maintaining connectivity of different networks
Maintaining and administering computer networks, including hardware, software applications and configurations
Designing and implementing new solutions and testing the resilience of the existing network environment

Preferred candidate profile

As a Hardware & network engineer, you require in-depth knowledge of computer science and IT applications, firewalls and routers. Knowing how to implement network security measures and following the organisation's protocols is desirable for this role. A basic understanding of servers, network hubs, cables, switches, firewalls and routers helps you excel as a network engineer.
