Role & responsibilities

EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) Expert

Key Responsibilities & Skills

Strong design knowledge of
High-Power EVSE
including
3.3 kW, 7.2 kW, 11.5 kW, and 22 kW AC EVSE
.
Understanding of
power conversion principles
(AC-DC, DC-DC) for efficient energy delivery from the grid to the EV battery system.
Thorough knowledge of various
charging standards
such as
SAE J1772, CCS (Combined Charging System), CHAdeMO, and GB/T
, including connector types and communication protocols across different regions.
Proficiency in
electrical circuit design
and component selection, including transformers, connectors, relays, rectifiers, MOSFETs, etc.
Understanding of
EV charging communication protocols
, including
OCPP
,
Modbus
,
CAN
, and
Ethernet
for remote monitoring, control, and billing.
Knowledge of
thermal management techniques
to ensure proper heat dissipation and maintain safe operating temperatures during charging.
Understanding of
grid integration considerations
, including power factor correction, load balancing, demand response, and overall grid stability.
Knowledge of various interfaces such as
display screens, touch panels, cellular technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G), Wi-Fi, BLE, and Ethernet
.
Understanding and awareness of
V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) technology
.
Hands-on experience with industry standards and certifications including
IEC 62752, IEC 61851, AIS 138, UL 2231, UL 2594, UL 1998, FCC, CE, Energy Star
.
Team leadership and management
capabilities.
Experience in
design-to-production handover
and understanding of production test cases.
Experience in
customer handling
and coordination.
Strong understanding of
EVSE production processes and design considerations
.
