Hardware And Networking Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Hardware and Networking Technician to join our IT team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with a foundational understanding of hardware and networking. The successful candidate will assist in the installation, maintenance, and support of computer hardware and network systems, while gaining hands-on experience and developing their technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware Support

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, including PCs, printers, and peripherals.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware issues under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as hardware upgrades and cleaning.

• Network Support

• Support the configuration and management of network devices, including routers, switches, and access points.
• Assist with network connectivity issues and basic troubleshooting.
• Help monitor network performance and report any irregularities to senior staff.

• Technical Assistance

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware and network-related queries.
• Document and track support requests, solutions, and incidents in the ticketing system.
• Assist with the setup of new workstations and network connections.

• Learning and Development

• Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop technical skills and knowledge in hardware and networking.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.

• Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory and network configurations.
• Assist with documentation and reporting tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• ITI or a related field is preferred.Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Skills and Knowledge

• Basic understanding of computer hardware components and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) is a plus.
• Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are advantageous but not required.

• Strong willingness to learn and a proactive attitude.
• Good problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple tasks.
