Hardening Plant Engineer

Responsibilities

· Plant Operations:

Oversee the daily operations of the hardening plant to ensure smooth production of heat-treated sheet metal components.

· Process Monitoring:

Monitor and control thermal processing parameters (e.g., temperature, time, cooling rates) to achieve desired material properties.

· Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain and repair heat treatment furnaces, quench tanks, and other associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

· Quality Control:

Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that hardened sheet metal parts meet specifications and industry standards.

· Process Optimization:

Continuously analyze and improve hardening processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

· Safety & Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements within the plant.

· Technical Support:

Provide technical guidance to operators and technicians, helping to troubleshoot production issues.

· Inventory Management:

Manage the staging and movement of materials for the hardening process.

· Documentation:

Develop and maintain documentation of manufacturing processes and best practices related to hardening.

Qualifications

· Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.

· Experience:

Proven experience in manufacturing, with a focus on heat treatment and sheet metal fabrication processes.

· Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and the properties of sheet metals.

· Equipment Knowledge:

Familiarity with various types of heat treatment furnaces and associated equipment, including troubleshooting capabilities.

· Problem-Solving:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges in the hardening process.

· Safety:

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
