Job Description

Position: Hadoop Consultant

We are looking for a Hadoop resource for running a Hadoop Assessment with the help of internal Hadoop Decoded tool. Hadoop Decoded tool analyses different logs including Hadoop, Yarn etc. to get insight into the cluster usage of Hadoop ecosystem. The tool parses and ingests logs into Elasticsearch via Logstash, and visualizations are built in Kibana.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand and enhance (if required) the existing Hadoop Decoded codebase and pipeline architecture.
Manage data ingestion workflows using Logstash and indexing in Elasticsearch.
Optimize Kibana dashboards for visualization and reporting as required
Execute Hadoop Decoded on the Hadoop cluster and deliver insights and reports to customers
Engage with customers to explain findings, discuss insights, and drive data-driven conversations around Hadoop usage.

Required Skills and Experience:

Good communication and presentation skills to interface directly with customers and articulate insights effectively.
Strong understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, and associated log structures.
Proficiency in log parsing, transformation, and ingestion pipelines using Logstash or similar tools.
Ability to read, understand, and extend existing codebases or scripts in ELK and Spark.
Understanding with HDFS audit logs, YARN logs, and Hive logs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data patterns and operational metrics.
