Guest Services Officer

The Guest Service Officer, reporting to the Guest Service Duty Executive, plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest level of safety, security, and service standards for ground operations at AirAsia. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing the smooth daily operations of Guest Services at various key areas such as the Check-in counter, Gate Management, and Arrival Hall. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing daily operations reports and ensuring that staff are well-informed and equipped before the commencement of operations. To excel in this role, you must ensure that the check-in counter is opened 4 hours before departure time and that all necessary systems such as conveyors, Baggage Handling System (BHS), Tubs, and Flight Information Display System (FIDS) are operational before the counter opens. Monitoring staff movement, maintaining discipline, and promptly reporting any delays or issues to the Supervisor on duty are also essential duties. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and compliance with Airline Standards, safety regulations, applicable laws, and procedures are paramount in all operational locations. The ideal candidate for this position should possess personal traits such as friendliness, maturity, humility, honesty, and meticulousness. Being a self-starter who can perform effectively under pressure in a challenging environment is key. Proficiency in oral and written English and Bahasa Malaysia, or the local language where staff is located, is required. Moreover, maintaining high confidentiality, tact, and discretion in interpersonal interactions, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills, are essential. The ability to work on shifts is also a prerequisite for this role.
