Job Title: Guest Service Associate (Waiter)

Job Summary: The Guest Service Associate (Waiter) is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests by taking food and drink orders, serving meals, and ensuring a welcoming and positive dining experience. They work closely with kitchen staff, management, and other team members to meet guests' needs efficiently and courteously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Interaction:
  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Assist guests in choosing menu items by providing suggestions and answering questions.
  • Take and accurately record food and drink orders using a POS system or order pad.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and in an appealing manner.
  • Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests.
  • Process payments and handle cash or credit transactions.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness:
  • Set and clear tables in a timely manner.
  • Ensure dining areas are clean, neat, and organized.
  • Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, and glasses after guests leave.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation.
  • Communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to kitchen staff.
  • Work with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Adherence to Health & Safety Guidelines:
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure proper handling of food and beverages to prevent contamination.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment for both guests and staff.
  • Providing a Positive Dining Experience:
  • Ensure that guests feel comfortable, valued, and satisfied throughout their dining experience.
  • Address guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolve issues quickly.
  • Recommend specials, promotions, or upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
