JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general guidance of the Assistant Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Manager, and the Operations Management Team, the Guest Service Associate (Steward) is responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage service in accordance with company standards. The role involves supporting restaurant operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness and service efficiency within the restaurant or outlet.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guest Service

  • Greet and attend to guests promptly and courteously.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and deliver them according to service standards.
  • Offer detailed information and suggestions about the menu, daily specials, and promotions.
  • Ensure customer needs are addressed promptly to maintain a positive dining experience.
  • Prepare checks/bills and handle payment collection efficiently.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Report for duty punctually, well-groomed, and in proper uniform at all times.
  • Perform side duties assigned daily by the Shift Manager, Assistant Manager, or Captain.
  • Follow established norms for serving food and beverages.
  • Maintain smooth coordination with colleagues to ensure an efficient workflow.

Hygiene & Appearance

  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming, and hygiene at all times.
  • Ensure cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations.

Team & Support Functions

  • Assist colleagues whenever required to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support the restaurant team in setting up and closing operations.
  • Carry out any additional duties or responsibilities assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 36 years of experience in restaurant service or hospitality operations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service standards preferred.
  • Professional appearance and commitment to high service standards.
