Guest Service Associate - Restaurant

The Guest Service Associate plays a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences to all guests. Your responsibilities will include welcoming and seating guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout their visit. You will be expected to greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner, assist them in finding suitable seating, and maintain a friendly attitude at all times. Handling guest concerns with promptness and escalating any issues to supervisors when necessary will also be part of your duties. When it comes to order taking and food service, you will present menus, explain dishes, and take accurate orders using the POS system. Efficiently serving food and beverages, ensuring proper presentation and temperature, and coordinating timely delivery from the kitchen to the guests are essential for a seamless dining experience. Table management is another key aspect of your role, which involves clearing used items promptly, resetting tables for the next guests, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining area throughout service. Additionally, you will assist in food presentation, buffet arrangements, and coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure correct items and garnishes are served. Your focus on customer satisfaction will be paramount, where you will strive to ensure guests are comfortable and content with their experience. Anticipating their needs, providing proactive service, and collecting feedback to report positive or negative comments to the supervisor will be part of enhancing their overall satisfaction. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in restaurant or hotel F&B service, good communication skills in English (and local language if applicable), strong interpersonal and customer service skills, a well-groomed appearance, and hygienic practices. The ability to work effectively in a team, handle pressure situations, and be flexible with working shifts, weekends, and holidays are also required.
