Guest Service Associate

Role Overview : The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests arriving at the restaurant. She ensures a warm welcome, manages waiting guests efficiently, assigns tables as per seating plans, and coordinates with service staff to provide a smooth and pleasant dining experience. Key Responsibilities: Guest Handling & Gate Management: Greet all guests warmly upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor. Maintain an organized waiting list and update guests on expected wait times. Manage crowd at the entrance during peak hours and keep waiting guests informed. Coordinate with the floor team to ensure quick and smooth table turnover. Escort guests to their tables and hand over menus. Seating & Table Management: Allocate tables as per reservations, walk-ins, and guest preferences. Monitor table availability and communicate updates to the floor manager and kitchen team. Assist in keeping the waiting area clean and comfortable. Communication & Coordination: Communicate guest requirements (special seating requests, occasions, etc.) to the service team. Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to inform guests about estimated food preparation times. Maintain a positive attitude while handling guest complaints or concerns and escalate issues to the manager when required. Service Support: Keep track of high-wait periods and suggest improvements for guest flow. Ensure menus and promotional materials are clean and presentable. Support in maintaining hygiene and orderliness at the entrance and dining area. Skills & Qualifications:Pleasant personality with excellent communication skills. Prior experience as a hostess or in customer service (preferred). Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods. Good organizational and coordination skills. Basic knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) or reservation systems (an advantage). Shift Details:Shift Timing: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM May include weekends, holidays, and peak service hours.
