Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

Compliance and Filing:
Prepare and submit accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (
GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C
) on time to avoid penalties.
Reconciliation:
Reconcile GST data with financial records, sales/purchase ledgers, and ERP systems (like Tally or SAP) to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
Input Tax Credit (ITC) Management:
Verify and manage
Input Tax Credit
claims, ensuring proper documentation is available and maximizing eligible claims.
Advisory and Planning:
Advise management and internal departments on the GST implications of various business transactions, supply chain structuring, and new legislative changes.
Audits and Notices:
Coordinate with internal and external auditors, prepare for GST audits, and draft responses to notices or inquiries from tax authorities.
Documentation and E-way Bills:
Maintain detailed records of all GST transactions, including invoices, and manage processes like E-way bill generation
