Job Title: GST Accountant Experience Required: 1 – 3 Years Location: New Town, Near Chinar Park, Kolkata Working Day: Monday - Saturday Shift Timing: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm Job Description: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented GST Assistant to join our finance and compliance team. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in handling end-to-end GST processes , and GST litigation experience will be preferred . Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end GST compliance , Provisions, RCM including return preparation and filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) Perform GST reconciliations (GSTR-2A/2B vs. books, vendor reconciliations) Handle GST registrations, amendments , and input tax credit (ITC) related matters Support and represent the company in GST assessments, audits , and litigation matters Coordinate with legal counsel, tax consultants, and internal departments regarding ongoing litigation or notices Stay updated on changes in GST laws and provide guidance on applicability and implementation Maintain proper documentation and support for GST records for internal and external audits Preferred Skills & Experience: Solid knowledge of Goods & Services Tax (GST) laws and related rules Experience with GST litigation : drafting replies, attending hearings, liaising with GST officers Proficiency in Excel , GST portals, and accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho, or similar) Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Qualifications: B.Com/M.Com or equivalent; additional certifications in taxation or GST will be an advantage Interested candidates can send their resume and cover letter to sujoy@prowesspursuit.com with the subject "Application for GST Accountant " Job Type: Full-time Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month Benefits: Provident Fund Schedule: Day shift Supplemental Pay: Performance bonus Application Question(s): Please share your current CTC ?
