Job Description

Role Overview: You will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, and ensuring the reliable and safe operation of Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems (>132KV). Your support to the engineering team for conceptual design, commissioning, and testing of EHV systems for new projects is essential for the success of the projects. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical support to Petrochemical, Polymer, Polyester & Refinery sites related to EHV System Reliability. - Oversee performance monitoring and benchmarking activities. - Initiate selection and standardization of best practices, SOPs, and SMPs. - Ensure implementation of GMS standards, guidelines, LFI, and safety group standards at sites. - Lead troubleshooting and provide support to sites for major and critical failures/issues. - Carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) for equipment and EHV system-related failures, monitoring the implementation of RCA recommendations. - Introduce modern diagnostic techniques and tools to enhance the reliability and effectiveness of the testing and validation process. - Support Electrical Equipment Performance Management (EEPM) platform for EHV system. - Prepare guidelines and govern the sites" asset renewal plan and obsolescence management. - Support the Procurement and Contracts team for the development and validation of new vendors/products/services, including ARCs/AMCs. - Participate in the commissioning of major equipment, de-bottlenecking, and modification during the project stage. - Review and validate Capex/MOC-T proposals raised by Sites, supporting successful execution of Capex/MOC-T/Major Turn Arounds. - Conduct statistical analysis for reliability improvement and carry out quality assurance, maintenance, and safety audits as required. - Conduct FAT & SAT of equipment as required. - Provide technical support to conduct and validate various Power System Studies (LF/SC/Transient/Protection Coordination) and EMTP studies. - Conduct regular inter-site meets for knowledge sharing and common practices across the group. - Support Learning & Development department for CAS, training modules development, curriculums finalization for external training programs, and conduct training and knowledge awareness sessions. - Support Engineering of EHV (>132KV) electrical equipment and PLCC or FOTE communication and RTU systems with utility as per industry benchmark/international standards. - Ensure continuous improvement in design and modification through active interaction with stakeholders and optimizing engineering practices. - Set standard guidelines and provide training to the concerned workforce for the maintenance and operation of EHV systems. - Oversee statutory and regulatory compliance at the engineering and operation stage. - Liaise with OEMs/packagers/consultants to stay updated on the latest technology trends. Qualifications Required: - BE/B Tech/M Tech in Electrical Engineering with specialization in EHV/HV systems. - Minimum of 15 years of experience covering basic engineering/installation/commissioning/maintenance of EHV equipment/RTU/SCADA/EDMS.
