Job Description

Technology Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement the technology vision and strategy in alignment with the hospitals business objectives and long-term goals.
  • Lead the design and execution of IT roadmaps, ensuring technology investments and projects are optimized to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency across all hospitals.
  • Oversee the implementation of the latest technological advancements to enhance clinical care, medical research, patient safety, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, including CEOs, CMOs, and CIOs, to define technology-driven business strategies and initiatives.

Technology Infrastructure and Operations:

  • Manage the IT infrastructure across all five hospitals, including hardware, software, network systems, cloud solutions, data storage, and medical technologies, ensuring seamless integration and high availability.
  • Ensure that all hospital systems are well-maintained, secure, and compliant with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Direct the implementation of integrated Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS), and other specialized hospital technologies.

Innovation and Digital Transformation:

  • Lead the adoption of emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data analytics, and telemedicine solutions, to improve clinical outcomes and operational performance.
  • Drive the digital transformation initiatives across the group of hospitals, ensuring the successful adoption of innovative technologies in both clinical and administrative functions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline hospital operations using automation and other advanced technologies.

Cybersecurity and Data Protection:

  • Oversee the cybersecurity strategy for the entire hospital group, ensuring that patient data and hospital systems are secure from cyber threats, breaches, and other vulnerabilities.
  • Implement data protection policies and security protocols, including encryption, multi-factor authentication, and firewalls, to safeguard sensitive healthcare data.
  • Stay current with global cybersecurity trends and threats to ensure the hospital network and data are proactively protected.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technology team across all five hospitals, including IT specialists, system administrators, technical support, and project managers.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the technical teams.
  • Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular evaluations, and ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to succeed.

Project Management and Implementation:

  • Oversee the management and execution of large-scale IT projects, ensuring that all initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement technology upgrades, new system integrations, and digital initiatives across all hospitals.
  • Provide technical expertise during the planning, design, and deployment phases of technology projects.

Vendor Management and Partnerships:

  • Manage relationships with external technology vendors, service providers, and contractors, ensuring quality service delivery, cost optimization, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Negotiate contracts for IT hardware, software, and other technology services, ensuring that solutions align with the hospitals needs and objectives.
  • Evaluate new technology solutions and assess vendor offerings to ensure the best-fit solutions are adopted across the hospital group.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including data privacy laws (HIPAA, GDPR) and industry standards, such as ISO, HL7, and clinical standards.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that IT systems are compliant with audits, industry regulations, and certification standards.
  • Lead efforts to maintain data integrity, accessibility, and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.

Financial Management and Budgeting:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively across IT projects and operations.
  • Monitor IT expenditures, track project costs, and identify areas for cost optimization, while ensuring that technology investments yield maximum ROI.
  • Establish and maintain cost-effective procurement processes for IT hardware, software, and services.

Collaboration with Clinical and Administrative Teams:

  • Work closely with clinical leadership to understand the specific technological needs of various medical departments, ensuring the IT infrastructure supports effective healthcare delivery.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams to improve hospital workflows, optimize patient scheduling, and enhance operational efficiency using technology solutions.
  • Ensure IT projects are aligned with the needs of the hospitals' multidisciplinary teams, enhancing communication and collaboration between clinical and administrative functions
