Graphic Designer

Position Summary

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing high-quality visual content for books, marketing materials, and digital platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and brand identity, as well as the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling designs that resonate with our target audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Book Design & Layout
• Design covers, page layouts, illustrations, and infographics for print and digital publications.
• Ensure designs meet publishing standards, printing specifications, and brand guidelines.
• Marketing & Promotional Materials
• Create eye-catching designs for social media, websites, brochures, posters, and event materials.
• Develop visuals for online campaigns and e-commerce product listings.
• Brand Identity
• Maintain consistent visual branding across all products and platforms.
• Work with the marketing team to develop and enhance the visual identity of Morgan Publishing House.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with authors, editors, illustrators, and marketing teams to deliver creative solutions.
• Present design concepts for feedback and incorporate revisions effectively.
• Production & File Management
• Prepare final print-ready and web-optimized files.
• Manage digital asset libraries and maintain organized project files.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in publishing or education-related industries.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and familiarity with Canva or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout principles, and color theory.
• Experience with print production processes, including pre-press and proofing.
• Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing for children’s books or educational content.
• Basic illustration skills or experience working with illustrators.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design for e-books and digital publications.
• Familiarity with photography editing and retouching.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹1,000.00 - ₹1,500.00 per week

Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week
