Roles and Responsibilities:

The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) for BI Reporting Analytics is an entry-level, foundation-building role focused on developing core skills in data engineering, analysis, and visualization. The GET will work under senior guidance to contribute to our strategic reporting infrastructure.

Data Consumption Modeling:
Rapidly learn and assist in consuming, transforming, and modeling data from various sources to ensure readiness for reporting and analysis.
BI Reporting Development:
Focus on achieving high proficiency in
Power BI
to design, develop, and maintain accurate, user-friendly, and insightful dashboards that translate complex data into clear business narratives.
Technical Language Application:
Actively learn, practice, and apply core data languages, including
SQL
(a primary focus),
DAX
,
M and/or Python
, in real-world data projects.
Cloud Data Exposure:
Get introduced to and support tasks related to cloud data services, specifically focusing on fundamental concepts of
Microsoft Azure
(e.g., Azure Storage and data pipeline concepts).
Documentation Quality:
Assist in drafting clear technical and functional documentation for data models and reports, ensuring adherence to data quality and governance standards.
Address the enhancement of key areas
within the existing portfolio to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.
Work on Data Quality (DQ) initiatives
, including monitoring, analysis, and implementation of best practices to maintain high standards.
Proactive Problem-Solving:
Demonstrate a strong
analytical mindset
and a proactive, supportive approach to troubleshooting data issues and contributing to team goals.

About you:

Qualifications and Experience:

Must have

Bachelor s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Data/Business Analytics or a related quantitative field.
Proven academic or project experience with SQL (required).
Fundamental understanding of data modelling concepts (e.g., Star/Snowflake schemas).
Strong analytical problem-solver with an organized, detail-oriented approach.
High capacity for adaptation and a demonstrated passion for continuous learning in the data domain.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
0 to 1 year
of total professional experience (internships and academic projects are valued).

Nice to have

Specific
academic projects
in Data Science, Business Intelligence, or Cloud Computing.
Exposure to
Python
for basic data manipulation or scripting.
Exposure to
D3.js
or other JavaScript visualization libraries for
custom visual development
Any experience with a BI Tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) via internships or personal projects.
Introductory certifications like
Azure Fundamentals (PL-300/DA-100)
.
Experience participating in hackathons or data challenges.
Relevant technical internship experience in an analytical or data-focused domain.
