Job Description

Position Specifications:

The FID Structuring Strats is looking for a tech professional who can work closely with the business to help set up, productionize, and maintain a robust global automation infrastructure to meet its daily reporting, pricing and monitoring requirements. It would require a combination of a designfocused development attitude (to create scalable and flexible solutions) and a support temperament (prompt in diagnosing issues and fixing them). Her/his work would not just involve creation of robust technology solutions but also have a good understanding of the business goals and logic associated with the task at hand. While working closely with the Structuring team, it is expected that he/she would, over time, learn and pick up knowledge around the business itself.

Note that the position doesnt have a fixed boundary and would provide ample opportunity for any selfmotivated individual to move up the ladder and understand the world of structuring gradually while providing support and development solutions to the business.

Role & Responsibilities:

Strong Frontend Development experience using React/React Native in atleast one project is essential.

Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Understanding/experience in other UI frameworks such as Angular, View, Node JS will be added advantage.

Design and implement responsive, userfriendly frontend interfaces using modern React practices and component libraries

Even though the role is primarily in UI development, full stack development experience will be preferred.

Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices architecture to support business applications

Maintain and support the automation infrastructure

Deliver high quality code within the committed deadlines. Adhere to the best coding practices that reduce technical debt

Selfdrive to identify gaps and strengthen current processes and controls

Excellent communication skills for technical and nontechnical stakeholders, with ability to work independently and in team settings

Understand business requirements and exhibit good balance between speed of delivery v/s robustness of solutions.

5+ years of experience in Front End Development, building end to end applications
Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks
Expertise in RESTful APIs development and integration
Strong understanding of DevOps practices including:
Experience with Relational and/or noSQL Databases
Knowledge of unit testing and testdriven development
Good analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities and capable of learning new technologies quickly
Selfmotivated and attention to detail

1+ years of experience with Python or 1+ years of experience in any structured low level programming language (C++, Java, C#)
Basic knowledge of technical architecture, design patterns
Knowledge of dashboard / Visualization tools eg PowerBI is a plus

Experience with ETL tools, data manipulation and data analysis

Basic understanding of financial products and pricing theory is good to have.
