Job Description

Job Title:

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in fabrication projects ( Precision Machined components , structural steel Products , pressure vessels, tanks, skids, technology structure , piping spool, cladded components etc.).
  • Expand market presence by targeting EPC contractors, OEMs, and large industrial clients.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and decision-makers.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation, proposal preparation, and negotiation to order finalization.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through regular communication and feedback collection.
  • Coordinate with clients for technical discussions, project requirements, and post-order support.

3. Tendering, Estimation & Pricing

  • Lead tendering and bid management for fabrication projects.
  • Review client specifications, drawings, and tender documents in coordination with the engineering and costing teams.
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals and ensure competitive pricing strategy.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to achieve win-win outcomes.

4. Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with design, production, quality, and project execution teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Coordinate with procurement and planning teams for project feasibility and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure alignment between sales commitments and production capabilities.

5. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor the BD team to achieve sales and growth targets.
  • Set clear KPIs and monitor performance against objectives.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

6. Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare regular business performance reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
  • Present periodic business reviews to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all commercial and contractual correspondence.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and standards (ASME, AWS, IS, etc.)
  • Excellent network within industrial sectors (Oil & Gas, Industrial , Power, Environmental , New Energy , Chemical etc.)
  • Strategic thinking and ability to convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Commercial acumen with good understanding of costing, contracts, and profitability.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and CRM tools.

Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Revenue growth and profitability from fabrication projects.
  • Number of new clients acquired and repeat business percentage.
  • Bid-to-win ratio and tender success rate.
  • Customer satisfaction and retention rate.
  • Timely and accurate reporting and forecasting.
