Global Structural Engineering Lead

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical expertise:- Facilitate the business development steel structure activity managed by the Structural EngineeringBusiness Developer on technical matters by :- Define the minimum technical requirement for steel structure, cladding and roofing design and maintain Desmet technical and commercial documentation accordingly- Able to perform steel structural engineering tasks for industrial plants such as providing design inputs required (static load, dynamic load, operating load, wind, snow and seismic load), confirm the applicable design codes, review and comment customer specifications and safety aspects as per HAZOP compliance:- Have basic knowledge of fire-fighting systems and their implementation to interact with 3rd party firefighting agencies- Technically interpret the industrial plant layout, steel & foundation guide drawings, equipment general arrangement drawing, piping & ducts including their supports, electrical cable routing, steel clash reports and provide resolution for any technical query by coordinating with the in-house Detail engineering team, process engineer, project manager and the 3rd party structural design agencies Project Planning, Execution and Control:- Facilitate the business development steel structure activity on technical matters by :- Define deliverables and review those received from 3rd-party structural and firefighting engineering agencies for quality and suitability.- Review and validate 3rd-party design agencys technical offer with respect to scope of work, design compliance, engineering hours estimation, milestone completion schedule, etc.- Review stagewise deliverable from 3rd-party structural design agency to meet project requirements, provide technical clearance with appropriate comments and communicate with respective internal & external stakeholders- Build and follow quality KPIs for quality assurance and reliability.- Coordination and Communication- Coordinate with Project Managers, in-house Detail Engineering teams, and 3rd-party Structural Engineering agencies.
