We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Global Engineering Program Manager to lead our Energy Efficiency and Maintenance Excellence Programs across 13 active pharmaceutical manufacturing sites worldwide. This role is pivotal in driving energy performance improvements, reducing environmental impact, supporting our global sustainability goals and improving the maintenance practices. The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineer with deep expertise in utilities systems, energy efficiency projects, and a solid understanding of maintenance practices in a GMP-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Design, implement, and manage a global energy efficiency and maintenance excellence programs across all production sites, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability targets.
  • Project Oversight: Lead and coordinate energy efficiency and maintenance excellence projects and portfolios, from opportunity identification to execution and performance tracking.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on utility systems (e.g., electricity, gas, HVAC, steam, compressed air, chilled water, nitrogen) and energy-saving technologies. Understanding the renewable energy sources, their positive impact on the carbon footprint reduction is beneficial.
  • Site Engagement: Collaborate with site engineering and maintenance teams to assess current performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support implementation.
  • Global engagement: collaboration with the main stakeholders at the global level - Global EH&S, Procurement, Quality, Sites leadership etc.
  • Data & Reporting: Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reports to track energy performance and program impact.
  • Best Practices & Standards: Establish global standards and share best practices across sites to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all initiatives comply with local regulations, GMP standards, and corporate EHS policies.Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in energy efficiency, utilities engineering, or industrial sustainability, preferably in the pharmaceutical or process industry.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site programs or portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance strategies and asset management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%).
  • Full computer literacy - MS Office, MS project, databases etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with ISO 50001 or other energy management systems.
  • Experience with digital energy monitoring platforms and data analytics.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., IPMA, PMP) is a plus.
