Global Product Specialist - Renewable Power Generation Transformers

As a Global Product Specialist (GPS) within the Global Product Group (GPG) Power Transformers at Hitachi Energy, your role involves collaborating with the Global Product Manager (GPM) for Industrial & Specialty (I&S) Transformers to enhance existing solutions and drive new product developments based on customer requirements. You will work closely with R&D centers and local business teams worldwide to ensure competitiveness, value differentiation, and technological leadership for converter transformers and related applications. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze market trends, international standards, and customer requirements to influence the product portfolio - Conduct competitor analyses to identify technical gaps and opportunities for competitiveness - Manage technical specifications for Industrial and Specialty Power transformers - Support the Global Product Manager in developing business cases and product developments - Collect market technical data to validate product performance and translate requirements into technical specifications - Prepare technical communication materials and support new product launches - Keep various departments informed on topics related to Industrial and Specialty transformers - Provide support for data quality improvement, sales, and customer meetings - Ensure training materials are available for Industrial and Specialty transformers Qualifications Required: - MSc or BSc in Engineering - 10+ years of experience in transformer engineering and/or R&D - Technical knowledge of transformer portfolio for power electronic applications - Experience in interacting with international customers and standardization groups - Good communication and presentation skills - Fluent in English with experience in writing technical papers and reports Hitachi Energy offers a holistic range of competitive benefit programs to support your financial, physical, and mental well-being, as well as personal development.
