Global Product Specialist - Offshore Substation and Subsea Transformers

As a Global Product Specialist (GPS) within Hitachi Energy's Global Product Group (GPG) Power Transformers team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Global Product Manager (GPM) for Industrial & Specialty (I&S) Transformers. Your role involves working closely with the worldwide network of R&D centers, Hubs, and local business teams to enhance existing solutions and drive innovation in new product developments based on customer requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze market trends, international standards, and customer needs to identify opportunities for product improvements and new developments. - Conduct competitor analyses to evaluate technical product gaps and enhance competitiveness in the market. - Manage technical specifications of Industrial and Specialty Power Transformers, supporting business case development for various initiatives. - Collect and share market data to validate product performance and contribute to the product roadmap. - Prepare and deliver technical communication materials to support product launches and market positioning. - Keep various teams informed about Industrial and Specialty transformers, market trends, and quality aspects. - Support data quality improvement, sales activities, customer meetings, and participation in industry events for better understanding customer needs. - Develop training materials for Industrial and Specialty transformers, with a focus on Offshore Substation and Subsea Transformers. **Qualifications Required:** - MSc or BSc in Engineering. - Minimum 5 years of experience in transformer engineering and/or research & development, with electrical design experience. - Technical knowledge of transformer portfolio; experience with offshore wind or O&G substation transformers/subsea transformers is a plus. - Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences. - Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects. - Fluent in English with experience in writing technical papers and reports.
