What You'll Do

The Finance and Procurement Product Portfolio plays a critical role at the intersection of BCG’s Global Finance and IT functions. Its purpose is to deliver best-in-class financial systems that enable the organization to transact efficiently and responsibly, capture, enrich, and report core financial data to BCG’s business leaders, and comply with the complex fiscal requirements of a multinational organization. The portfolio also ensures that its platforms provide exceptional user experience, aligns with BCG’s global IT enterprise architecture and security standards, and minimizes the total cost of operations. It embraces the latest technologies and Agile ways of working to enhance financial systems and deliver business value at scale.

This is an exciting time to join the Finance & Procurement portfolio. BCG is in the final stages of globally deploying SAP S4/HANA. This new platform creates existing leadership opportunities, including the Consolidations and Enterprise Structure Product Owner Role. As a Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in role in overseeing the transition to the business-as-usual operating model and lead the squad that will explore ‘the art of the possible’ and expand the platform’s capabilities going forward.

In this role, you will work closely with the Global Accounting Team and local finance teams in countries where BCG operates to leverage SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting to produce the US GAAP and local market consolidated financial statements.

You will leverage your accounting expertise and system knowledge to drive continuous improvement through the expansion of SAP capabilities and automation of manual activities. This will include a willingness to explore how Agentic AI solutions may be coupled with SAP to drive process efficiencies.

You will also manage and govern all reporting hierarchies within SAP, ensuring alignment with BCG’s global enterprise structure and compliance with statutory reporting standards. This includes partnering with the Finance Data Steward to shape the design and scalability of BCG’s global enterprise structure.

To deliver results, you will engage with stakeholders, including functional Business Process Owners, to understand business priorities, translate them into a product roadmap, prioritize a backlog of enhancements, and build business cases for potential investment. Leveraging your expertise in finance, accounting, and SAP, and following Agile principles, you will break down enhancements into meaningful segments of work for your squad to deliver and will track progress toward the desired outcomes.

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner

  • Proven knowledge of SAP S4HANA (specifically Group Reporting, FI/CO) preferred or SAP ECC-based consolidation processes

  • A passion for Finance with a master’s degree in finance or accounting, and a professional accounting designation preferred (e.g., CPA)

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a global accounting or finance systems organization

  • Exceptional communications and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams

  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and experience working in cross-functional squads or delivery teams

  • Experience translating finance and compliance requirements into SAP platform capabilities, especially across consolidation, intercompany, and allocations

  • Understanding of enterprise structure design and its role in supporting global statutory and performance reporting

  • Divergent thinker who can converge ideas into tangible products

  • Experience in consulting or professional services is a plus

  • Scrum Leads, who will act as your right hand to remove impediments and will assist you in preparing the required artifacts and managing ceremonies

  • Other Product Owners within BCG, to share best practices and ensure alignment between squads and culture

  • Agile Coaches, with whom you will share passion for Agile ways of working

  • Chapter Leads and Technical Lead for technical solutioning and delivery
