Global FinOps Cloud Expert

Within the Global Cloud department

Roles & responsibilities:

• Be the FinOps partner and ambassador for specific perimeter

  and FinOps adoption practices leader, to implement savings and create Business value, in collaboration with the local FinOps referent
• In close collaboration with major Cloud stakeholders, take the lead on major projects and major applications of the entities to identify, evaluate, and propose cost optimizations aligned with the FinOps strategy
• Taking advantage of FinOps tooling recommendations, challenge application Tiering, sizing, Azure services selection and licenses mode to facilitate FinOps optimizations aligned with the Business expectations
• Support project leaders to forecast recurring costs

• Be part of tech FinOps experts community and accountable on specific tools

  : Azure Billing Data ingestion, FinOps tooling interfaces, Apptio IT Billing system, FinOps dashboards through PowerBI and IBM Cloud Cost Management platform for Cost visibility, cost tracking and budget alignment (Cloudability).
• Define and maintain the best Finance processes to ensure Cloud Forecasts, Cloud Cost tracking and budget alignment (Cloudability) in collaboration with all global stakeholders
• Propose and maintain new FinOps dashboards (Cloudability and PowerBI)
• Evaluate benefits, feasibility, and cost of new developments in collaboration with other IM team members

• Be strong contributor on FinOps strategy definition & adoption

• Contribute to define and support the FinOps strategy regarding financial commitments (reservations and Savings plans), by taking ownership of proposing recurring purchases, renewals or exchanges to ensure recurring alignment with the strategy, including risk analysis
• Contribute to define, implement and promote Reporting & Tooling (Cloudability, Turbonomic, Power BI, Excel)
• Contribute to the improvement of Project and RUN Processes to better integrate FinOps and cost efficiency
• Contribute to FinOps Training of Sodexo teams

• Contribute to define new FinOps patterns for Azure IaaS, PaaS, and Data services with Cloud Architects

• Proactively analyze Top services usage and potential optimizations. Take the lead to propose generic recommendations adapted to Sodexo use cases and build the Business case with FinOps Architect and Global FinOps community
• Participate to Recommendations documentation (FinOps policies, Decision trees, Web page) implementing continuous improvement of FinOps practices in Sodexo

Required Skills:

• Master Degrees
• Minimum 5 years experience in a FinOps Cloud expert role (Technical expertise required)
• FinOps practitioner certification
• Strong understanding of Cloud pricing models, strong appetence for cost optimization
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and areas for cost reduction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
