Job Description

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an Engineer for Global Component Certification, you will be responsible for: You will create cross-SHS strategies for the standardization of commercial off-the-shelf components and functions, taking into account strategic, technical and economic aspects in coordination and cooperation with all business areas worldwide You will be responsible for the complete lifecycle management for catalogue parts and in particular for the definition of preferred components with its approvals and certificates You will observe the approval and regulation situations (eg UL, RoHS, BIS, TEC, WPC, etc) for your responsible spectrum and contribute this knowledge to the consultations. You will be involved in quality issues relating to processes or the manufacturer, initiate analyses to determine the cause of faults and initiate quality control measures. They carry out life cycle analyses to actively prevent the discontinuation of certificates and inform all users throughout the SHS. You become a member of certificate related network of SHS country QT, SHS QT Regulatory Affairs and Global Certification Service You will keep your knowledge up to date by continuously observing the global market for components/components through visits to trade fairs and manufacturers. Knowledge and application of project management and analytic methods Think and act in networks with PLM, SCM, purchasing department and external Partners such as suppliers Required skills to have for the success of this role You have successfully completed a Masters degree in natural sciences, electrical engineering or a comparable subject You have several years of professional experience in the country-specific approval of components und you know the different country specific authorities. You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the field of electronics development, component engineering or as an application engineer for the above-mentioned component spectra. You have very good knowledge in the field of electronic components, related to a broad spectrum of devices. You bring along very good knowledge in circuit design and thus also in reading circuit diagrams. You already have first leadership experience or bring along leadership potential. You have very good experience in project work, experience in leading projects, also in an international environment, is an advantage. You are familiar with the common office tools and ideally also have experience with databases (MSAccess or others). You are familiar with the common SHS tools SAP and CES Where possible, you act under lean aspects and bring along the knowledge of agile working methods. Experience in cross-disciplinary task processing Knowledge of Healthineers products/ processes
