Principal Design Engineer

Job Description

To work within the Digital Grid systems business to provide innovative solutions for protection & control applied on the UK transmission and distribution network. Liaise with Sales / Proposals Manager(s), as well as Project Delivery team as required. Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications Production/checking of functional design specifications and design intent documents Developement and configuration of engineering protection & control solutions Production/checking of all test documentation Carry out FAT activities Responsible for technical issues/support on allocated projects Ensuring that Siemens solutions meet the requirements of the latest policies and standards Attend internal and external design reviews providing technical input Provide technical input for tendering activities Mentoring of apprentices / graduates / engineeers within the business Customer segment (NGET) technical delivery experience (>5 years);
